CLASSIC B-1895

A legendary furniture collection, which strives to continue the beautiful, 140-years-long tradition of the Jasienica plant. In the early 20th century, the Thonet-Mundus brand was an international furniture powerhouse whose designs had become icons of fashion and popular culture. The 1840 family is a tribute to Thonet’s classic chairs, manufactured through steam- and pressure-bending of beech wood. These designs have become the symbols of the Industrial Revolution, effectively proving that the mass production of light, durable, beautiful and affordable furniture is not at all impossible. The unwavering popularity of this furniture family is proof that design excellence and hand-fitted precision are timeless values indeed. An immortal classic encapsulated in just a few wooden parts, the 1840 collection includes iconic, historical designs that perfectly match the requirements and aesthetic sensitivity of today’s customers.

About the brand

PAGED aims to design and manufacture furniture as durable as the foundations of their tradition, which is more than 140 years old and is based on using wood as the noblest and most natural material; respect for the environment and the resources it provides; maintaining the heritage of precise handwork that makes each of our products a one-of-a-kind piece.

Wood is a durable material that becomes increasingly perfect as it matures. For thousands of years, humans have celebrated its special nature by surrounding themselves with wooden items. Paged treats wood as a treasure given to us by Nature, and as such, they source it sustainably and responsibly.

Paged appreciates the perfection of Nature’s creations. To that end, they ensure the unprecedented longevity of their products to limit the use of our planet’s resources. Paged uses only environmentally-friendly materials in the production of our furniture. They strive to minimise CO2 emissions and water consumption by constantly improving their technological processes.
